Big Easy has been gaining traction over the past few months. The pricing we listed is based on their website – but there is wording in several areas that these are the starting prices. It is unclear how or when they may increase.

There is a $75 fee for your doctor visit. It appears to be fully refundable if you decide not to go with them after you meet with a physician. It is also refundable if they don’t prescribe you the medication because you’re not a good fit for it. If you do join the program, the $75 is applied to your first prescription payment. It is not clear what happens to your payment if you miss the appointment.

Another note on pricing is their website mentions that pricing may change depending on the state you are in, but it doesn’t mention which states those are or how much the price increases.

There is also a “surcharge” fee of $25 each month if you choose the month-to-month option. This is closer to what we’d consider a membership fee and should be noted when comparing to other companies on price.

For these reasons, it is possible that the pricing we listed is not the price you will pay, and your price might not be known until after your appointment. We’d like to see Big Easy Weight Loss disclose the pricing at higher doses and the states that have higher prices than listed on the site.

We tested their customer service by emailing them. It took 5 days (3 business days) to get a response. This is slower than the top providers like OrderlyMeds and Brello. It is better than many providers that don’t respond at all.

We found the overall website experience a bit clunky and inconsistent. For example, when you click “Pricing” it has some text about the states they serve, and then big letters to go to another page for pricing instead of having the pricing. There is scrolling text that says “Physician guided care” over and over and another area that also has scrolling text with similar language on the same page. Lastly, the website reads “Same pricing for all doses” but then says the price depends on your state, individual need, and pricing can be discussed with your physician. It also has language that pricing “starts at” – implying it doesn’t stay the same.

Overall, we think Big Easy Weight Loss could improve by letting users enter their state and dosage to get more info about pricing prior to paying $75 and being required to attend an appointment. In addition, their response time could be improved based on our testing. It should be noted that Big Easy have great reviews on TrustPilot and Google, so that will be more representative of what to expect.
