Hims Review
A well-known telehealth brand expanding into weight management. How does Hims stack up with big-name partnerships like Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk? Let’s take a look.
About Hims
Hims (same company as Hers) is a major, publicly traded telehealth company that has become a household name. Hims started with a focus on men’s health issues like hair loss and sexual health. In the past few years, they have aggressively expanded into other areas including weight management. Notably, in April/May 2025, they have partnered with Eli Lilly to offer Zepbound and Novo Nordisk to offer Wegovy (see our notes for updates).

Notes from GLP-1 Match
In our interactions with Hims, we’ve only ever engaged with customer service representatives, never a core leadership or medical team. However, we can’t help but be impressed at how well the company executes at its massive scale. Their system is clearly built for efficiency, providing fast but rigid support that serves a huge customer base.
The public perception of Hims is a matter of scale. While their review scores aren’t always as high as smaller competitors, you have to consider the sheer volume of them. In the review business, it’s easy to give bias to smaller companies with a “face” behind them, but Hims’ overall feedback is representative of a decent, well-run public company.
The core operational context for Hims is its size and market position as a multi-billion dollar company. We’ve followed them since they were known only for ED medications, and their evolution has been significant. This scale is what makes them a good option for some but a poor one for others; they have recently pivoted away from most compounded GLP-1s to partner directly for brand-names like Zepbound and Wegovy, which are often prohibitively expensive without insurance coverage. Note: this is an ever changing environment and there is recent news that Novo Nordisk (Wegovy) has ended their partnership with Hims.
Ultimately, while Hims is a solid option with a wide lineup of weight loss solutions, you won’t find the more personable feel that smaller telehealth companies can offer. The rigidity that allows them to operate at scale is their primary drawback, making them a better fit for a customer who values a well-known brand with multiple ways to bundle in related products.

Hims Reviews: What Users Are Saying
“Good Products but Frustrating Ordering Experience”
“Generally I really like Hims the products are great but a recent irritation was concerning my last shipment of weight loss meds. The short story is I still have a little from my original order and my wife started the program but quit after a week and a half and went on Ozempic. She gave me her meds which were the same ones I was taking at the same dosage. The only one she didn’t have was Bupropion HCI. So I asked the physician if I could get just that subscription and he said no I would have to get the whole program so I did. It came today and it did not contain Bupropion I guess it is no longer part of the program. That would have been a handy piece of information when I detailed very clearly in the notes what I wanted so there could not be any confusion. Now I have enough weight loss meds to shrink an elephant. The stuff works but I bought meds I didn’t need.”

“Good Products but Frustrating Ordering Experience”
“The medicine makes me feel strange “sometimes” but not all the time. I have noticed it has curbed my appetite some but I haven’t seen any weight loss. I do really appreciate how fast and informative the answers in the chat are about taking other medications. Very helpful”

“Great Service Despite Weight Loss Side Effects”
“The medication for heart and sexual health worked great with no side effects. The reorder was easy and seamless. Unfortunately, the side effects for the weight loss were intolerable but the cancelling of the order, again, was very easy. Many thanks for the good service.”

Overall sentiment: Generally positive, with users appreciating effective medications, easy ordering and cancellation, and responsive customer support, though some report mixed results or side effects with weight loss treatments.
